***rescheduled***
This season has been a year of challenges and a year of new-found courage and hope, as we have battled back from a fall of canceled performances, to the exciting creation of our city-wide outdoor Snow Globe Series initiative, to an almost “normal” return to the stage with our performance of Lux: The Dawn From On High in March. Now, more than 2 years into this pandemic, we unfortunately must reschedule this performance from its original May 21st date due to the toll that COVID has taken on our choir during this latest surge. All tickets purchased for the May 21 performance will be honored on June 25th.
Please contact boxoffice@alexandriachoralsociety.org with any questions.

Alexandria Choral Society closes out its 2021-22 season with Refuge, a social-justice themed program featuring a world-premiere performance of Jonathan Kolm’s crowd-sourced commission of the same name. Kolm describes his work as “large in musical scope and scale, but on an emotional and societal level,” portraying an individual’s journey out of conflict and exile towards safety and refuge.
He says, “This piece represents my passion for composing music in addition to my commitment to social justice and doing my part to try and make the world a better place for everyone. Knowing that ACS and Brian Isaac share these ideals has made it a pleasure to collaborate with them and bring this piece to the community.”

For the safety of our singers and audience, masks and proof of full COVID-19 vaccination will be required at this performance.
As a non-profit performing arts organization, ACS strongly believes that financial capacity should never be a barrier to experiencing quality choral programming. That’s why we have proudly adopted a PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN pricing model for this concert.
Our suggested price for each seat is $30 (all seats are General Admission), but we invite you to pay the amount that is affordable for you - whether that be more or less. When our patrons pay whatever they can, it allows us to bring our music to more people, while remaining financially healthy.

Online ticket sales are now closed. Tickets are available at the door this evening.
