Dreamweaver: a Festival of Wonder

This October, Pro Coro Alexandria, the chamber ensemble of the Alexandria Choral Society, joins conductor Jeffrey Dokken and the American Contemporary Classical Orchestra for Dreamweaver, an evening of lush, atmospheric music for choir, piano, and strings.

The concert centers on Ola Gjeilo's gorgeous choral work entitled Dreamweaver, drawn from Draumkvedet, a medieval Norwegian folk poem. This magical journey recounts the story of Olav Asteson, who falls into a deep sleep and wakes thirteen days later to tell his epic, terrifying, and ultimately redeeming journey. Join us for an otherworldly landscape of sound.
