The Alexandria Choral Society's 2025-2026 season invites you on a transformative journey through the deepest questions of human experience: How do we truly hear one another? How do we find joy in a weary world? What legacy do we leave?
Our season opens in October with Do You Hear What I Hear? — a collaboration with the Alexandria Children's Chorus exploring the profound art of listening. In December, The Weary World Rejoices acknowledges our collective fatigue while celebrating the light that breaks through darkness, moving from contemplative works to hopeful classics.
Spring brings American Voices in March, as we join the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Association to explore American identity in the 21st century—from indigenous roots to contemporary global citizenship. In April, Pro Coro Alexandria presents History Has Its Eyes on You, weaving together Hamilton, Les Misérables, Palestrina, and more in the church where George Washington once worshipped.
Our season culminates in May with I Hope You Dance, celebrating the human spirit's need to move and find joy through passionate movement, contemporary works, and Ysaye Barnwell's transformative music. Join us for a season that reminds us to listen deeply and celebrate together!
We hope you’ll join us this season! Thank you for supporting the Alexandria Choral Society!
Program funding is provided by our donors, and in part by the Virginia Commission for the Arts, a gift from the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia / The Sydalco Charitable Fund, and the City of Alexandria through the Annual Arts Program.
