Illuminare: a Festival of Light
In partnership with Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic
This December, the Alexandria Choral Society joins forces with conductor Anna Binneweg and the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic for an evening of luminous holiday music.
The program pairs Elaine Hagenberg's Illuminare, a lush, five-movement journey from darkness into radiant light for chorus and orchestra, with Ralph Vaughan Williams' beloved Fantasia on Christmas Carols, a warm setting of traditional English carols for chorus, baritone, and orchestra. Join us as we celebrate the season of light together!
