About the Sing-Off Grant

The Alexandria Choral Society (ACS) is pleased to announce our 2025-2026 Sing-Off Grant Program and request for applications. ACS will select a youth ensemble to perform during our May 2026 concert, entitled I Hope You Dance, which will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 7:00 PM, and Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 3:00 PM at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial in Alexandria, VA.

The selected ensemble will have an opportunity to present two to three choral works of their own choosing and a final, larger work with ACS during one of these performances. The ensemble will also earn $1,000 in grant funding to support their music program.

Eligibility and Terms

• Ensembles must consist of no fewer than 12 and no more than 40 singers.

• Each application must include a performance video submission that is no older than 10 months and accurately represents the applicant ensemble. The audio quality of the recording must be clear. The recorded performance video must present one or more choral works at least two minutes in length in any language.

• ACS will accept and consider applications from youth ensembles of all ages. For this grant cycle, we especially encourage middle school-aged ensembles to apply.
