Tapestry: A Festival of Belonging
This October, the Alexandria Choral Society weaves together the voices, languages, and traditions of our own wonderfully varied community into one richly patterned evening of music, sung in English, Spanish, and Amharic.
The program features a new work by award-winning composer Nebal Maysaud, whose music bridges Western and Middle Eastern traditions, and poetry from Alexandria's own Poet Laureate, Cristi Donoso, giving voice to the immigrant experience that has shaped this city for generations.
Join the Alexandria Choral Society as we celebrate what makes us many — and what makes us one.
As a non-profit performing arts organization, ACS strongly believes that financial capacity should never be a barrier to experiencing quality choral programming. That’s why we have proudly adopted a PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN pricing model for this concert.
Our suggested price for each seat is $30 (all seats are General Admission), but we invite you to pay the amount that is affordable for you - whether that be more or less. When our patrons pay whatever they can, it allows us to bring our music to more people, while remaining financially healthy.
